Just a note¡ in version 5.00n of the RELS software, the disclaimer and info about the original Eastern European designers has changed from your version. It now reads: ? This software hereafter called the RELS is totally based on work by a number of guys in Russia to whom we offer many thanks. The original base for this version of software was Digital_feed_6c_auto_en_lll.ino Some of the terminology has been changed, typically the word "Taper" used to be "cone", all of the changes made were solely to hopefully clear up questionable translations and to ease the understanding of the code. The threading algorithm has been changed to a constant area cut. Some additions have been made to the available pitches, tapers and feeds and the spreadsheet has hopefully been made more user friendly. The X axis Backlash, the number of spring passes, and some machine constants can now be saved to EEprom. The system can work in and display both metric and imperial values. Extra passes are possible after an auto thread cycle, also the option of cutting on the tool flank as opposed to plunge cutting. An Auto tapering function has been added. The capability of Multistart Threading has been added. The option to shift Z or to Infeed X added to allow rework of the thread The Encoder MUST have a line count of 1800 subsequent to Version 5 to suit Multi-start threading. ? Cheers John |
