Ladies & Gentlemen

?I have been using
John Coddington's Complex RPN calculator for some time but since I upgrade to iOS 13.1.3, I have been unable to access the Manual

I needed to know how to use of of the functions this morning but when I tap "Goto Manual" it just hangs.

I have tried searching for the manual on the www and for contact details for Mr. Coddington, both without success.

Can anybody help, please?

With best wishes and thanks

MC Black

PS. I have been using RPN calculators for over 40 years and become very confused when trying to use a calculator with Algebraic rather then Reverse Polish logic. So I would? be interested in a recommendation for a different RPN calculator app but NOT for one with algebraic logic

MCB

Have you tried reinstalling the app to see if that brings the help/manual back?

If you want an HP-12C emulator, try?

PCalc ($10) and PCalc lite (free) ?are on the App Store on the iPhone, ?extremely versatile, ?algebraic or RPN.

Dear Otto,? (may I?)

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

I? have reinstalled the "app". No change. Touching the "Goto Manual" button brought up a screen advertising Mr. Coddington's other products - but NOT the Manual.

I have used an HP 11C for years so downloaded Touch Fin.

Do you have any idea how I can turn the virtual 12C into an 11C, please?

Is? there a instruction manual for that, please?

With best wishes and thanks again.

You know as much about this app as I do. I found it with a simple search.

If you're willing to pay, you could try

I *did* use an RPN calculator many years ago, but it would seem quite alien to me now ;)

I've? installed PCalc Lite and will see how I get on with that.

Very many thanks

But it would? still be good to know why "Goto Manual" no longer works

Any suggestions as to how I could? contact Mr. Coddington, please

With best wishes and thanks again.

I first started using the h p 11 c in college in 1980 or thereabouts. ?Since then it has been my constant companion and it is unchanged. ?I do not like the new cardboard assembled in China versions but H P doesn’t make better models. ?So I treasure my 1980 model which still works as well as it did nigh upon 40 years ago. ?

The ap version on the iPhone is just as good except that one has to turn the iPhone on repeatedly (if he has set it to go off). ?

It’s much easier to use an R P N calculator for complex calculations than to use the normal one. ?

Maybe a quick time-out, but why would?that matter? The app would preserve your last input in any case.
