The headset that I have is? marked
Plantronics USB DSP v3
But I was considering replacing it
with a Logitec Headset (because Logitec have offered me one free
as compensation because I bought a top of the range Trackball
that did NOT have the features which one of their people told me
it would? have).

Do you have the make and model of your headset? That will help us
find a solution.

Thank
you for taking the time to write in detail.
I
suffer from severe hearing loss
I
had headset designed for users with hearing loss.
But it's worn out.
I
have seen headsets where the lead is? terminated
with a USB type A plug.
I
want to be able to connect that to my iPhone to use
with telephone conversations
My
iPhone has a Headphone Socket.
My
recently issued Hearing Aids are supposed to connect
to my iPhone by Bluetooth.
However,
they do only about 70% of the time
Even
when I fiddle about with the iPhone settings, they
rarely connect.
And
because the Hearing Aids were NOT made by Apple,
Apple isn't interested in helping sort out the
problem. The hospital is? far to busy to care.
Bluetooth
is? a complete waste of time as far as I'm?
concerned. I suspect it was invented by somebody who
had too much spare time!!
