How about you plop this rotary table down on your mill table in a couple

They usually have some nifty stuff that can be re-purposed for hobby use. Years ago, they had a local (VA Beach, VA) outlet, until the gent running it got sick (gall bladder issues) & had to close the store. "Expired" medical stuff is useful if you need to measure small amounts of liquids for non-medical uses. I'm a long time satisfied customer, keeping in mind that their use of, "catalogese" will describe a piece of broken glass as, "pre-fractured glass segments."

Re: rotary table re-engineeering
Another option is to mount it on a drill press table. That lets you do light milling with the drill press & makes it easy to drill a pattern of holes for things like mounting flanges.

Re: rotary table re-engineeering
I think I would get a chunk of my favorite alloy and mill a dovetail slot, then make whatever base was appropriate. The base could be locked to the rotary table with the gib screws.

Just came in over the transom: American Science and Surplus has these for $12.50
They¡¯re NEMA-17 stepper-driven pumps, 500?l (? ml) , might be useful for automatic oiling if you¡¯re setting up a CNC or ELS system; if nothing else the steppers included retail for $79 from the manufacturer.
