Lok like nothing in quebecc ity or montreal Snif Jack 47 71 6 volt lantern batteries have longer carbon rods. Some welding supply places will sell gouging rods by the piece, instead of by a whole box.

Actually, I am more focused on my little Unimats, changing the motors to 24v DC and assembling a 24v DC power supply and motor control. Now, the little Unimats are reversible and variable speed.
